Understanding changes after childbirth
After pregnancy and childbirth, questions may arise about the labia, scars, vaginal sensation or intercourse. A consultation assesses the tissues, hormonal changes and pelvic floor function. Understanding the cause of discomfort helps guide care.
Useful information for your appointment
Explain how long it has been since childbirth, whether there was an episiotomy or tear, where the discomfort is, whether you are breastfeeding and which activities trigger symptoms. Mention urinary leakage, heaviness, penetration difficulties and previous treatments. You do not need to send photographs through messaging.
Assessment does not necessarily mean surgery
Care may focus on gynaecology, scar assessment or pelvic-floor function, depending on findings. Specific procedures are decided only after examination. This website does not offer perineal muscle reconstruction, deep postpartum repairs or major surgical vaginoplasty.
Laser is not a deep repair
Fractional energy applied to the lining does not reconstruct muscles or replace anatomical repair when needed. Having GyneLase available does not make it the appropriate treatment for a feeling of laxity. Read the differences between laser and surgery.
Comfort without an imposed ideal
You are not obliged to regain a previous appearance or change anatomy that causes no problem. What matters is investigating bothersome symptoms and discussing options without pressure. When needs exceed the clinic’s scope, the appropriate care pathway is explained.
